Beach Trip Part 2 - Aquarium

While we were at the beach of course we had to take the kids to the aquarium! We've never taken either of them so they were both REALLY excited! (And I was really excited about the 75% discount that Ripley's gives to military!!)

As soon as we stepped into the lobby the kids were already enthralled with the huge fish tanks. Who can blame them? I LOVE aquariums!

Oma gave the kids these awesome glow-in-the-dark necklaces for their trek through the aquarium!

Dinosaur exhibit! Some people thought it might be too scary for the kids - the T-Rex moves and roars. Our kids happened to think it was hilarious. What can I say - it's their generation that's totally immune to violence. :)

 Mermaid Boutique! Too cute!

These pictures turned out awful and blurry but this was such a cool event that the Ripley's Aquarium has - a live mermaid show! Two mermaids swam in the stingray tank and danced to music, did flips, blew bubbles, etc. It was really cute! Stephen and Hunter - not so impressed. Brianna and I could have stayed there all afternoon!

Indoor playground? Yes, please!

And of course, the staple to every good aquarium - a "Nemo" fish and a "Dory" fish. Our kids love the movie Finding Nemo so they yelled those names over and over again as the fish swam around!

 Petting the stingrays!

These kids were actually feeding the stingrays.

We loved our experience at the aquarium with the kids!

Beach Trip Part 1

A couple of weeks ago we were able to go to the beach with a lot of our family! It was Hunter's first beach trip ever, and Brianna's first trip this year. We were a little wary of how they would react while we were there (the sand, the wind, the heat, the water, sleeping arrangements, etc.) but mainly we were excited!

Of course, the first day we were there, it rained. Poor Stephen had been building up this trip to the beach and promising Brianna we were going to the ocean, and then the rains came. But wait! There was no thunder or lightning! Just enough time to pop over to the ocean for a quick dip!

While everyone else was getting ready to go, Jennifer and Seth took Brianna out to dance in the rain:

This was in the back of our condos. Plenty of room for dancing, and this time - no rain!

Hunter is obsessed with the camera on my phone since you can see yourself as the camera is taking pictures. He could do this all day!

One night we had craft night but most of my pictures turned out blurry. We all created our own drink coozies! I do have pictures of them somewhere...

Here is the lazy river at the condos:

While we were there, Opa got a new addition to his vehicle - a license plate saying "Opa's Truck"! How cool is that?

Hard Rock Cafe! You know I had to have a picture with The Beatles. :)

Down for the count!
