Christian Bioethics (Review)
This review is for the book "Christian Bioethics" by C. Ben Mitchell and D. Joy Riley. This book touts itself as "a guide for pastors, health care professionals, and families" and in my opinion, this book has it all. This is by far one of the most thorough, honest books I have ever read regarding medical ethical issues. The book covers important issues such as abortion, death and dying, infertility, organ donation, cloning, and others. Each chapter contains a case pertaining to the issue and discussion questions. Then, Mitchell and Riley discuss with one another the issue. There are additional resources at the end of each chapter.
I think this is a book that would interest many people, because it can really help you understand these issues from a medical standpoint as well as a Christian standpoint. There is some medical jargon, of course, but overall I felt the book was on a reading level for the average person.
Thank you to Cross Focused Reviews for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
