Joyful Review
This review is for the book "Joyful" by Shelley Shepard Gray. This is book three in the Return to Sugarcreek series. I actually did not read the first book in the series, but I did read the second book. You could easily read this book without reading the others in the series, if you so desire.
This book focuses on three main stories. One is the relationship between Randall and Elizabeth, who recently broke off their courtship for reasons that Elizabeth does not understand. It also follows the story of Judith and Ben, who are desperately trying to adopt the little boy they are fostering. And the book also follows Pippa's story, who recently left her husband and started a restaurant in Amish country. All three stories are quite different so it is easy to follow them throughout the book.
I enjoyed this book. I like Gray's easy style of writing. I also enjoy Amish fiction. Gray speaks of many topics that are relevant to both Amish and English in this book. I was happy to see closure for all three stories at the end of the book, because these characters were involved in the other books in the series as well. If you like Amish fiction you will enjoy this author's works.
Thank you to Litfuse Publicity and Avon Inspire for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
