This review is for the book "The Princess Within: For Teens" by Serita Ann Jakes. I actually recently read a book by Jakes' daughter, which I really enjoyed, so I really wanted to read this book. I loved it. What a great devotional book for teens. Jakes has "been there" with poor choices as a teenage girl, so she can really relate to readers. The devotions are short and will keep teens' attentions. There is plenty of scripture to support her thoughts. She also does fun things like quizzes in the chapters, just like most teen magazines do. Another thing I liked is that she has a little playlist to go with each chapter. I have officially found some new favorite songs!
I think this is a great book for teens to read. Actually, I think it's a great book for adults to read as well! I'd like to read more by Serita Ann Jakes in the future.
