This review is for the book "Put Me in the Zoo" by Robert Lopshire. This is one of my kids' absolute favorite books. We discovered it at the church nursery I work at. I think Brianna (5 years old) loves it because she can read 90% of her on her own. It's a fun story about a creature who wants to be let in the zoo, but they won't allow him in to live there. He sets out to prove to two children that he can do tons of tricks and should be allowed in the zoo. In the end, they tell him how awesome his tricks are, but show him another place his tricks would be better used at - the circus! If your child likes Dr. Seuss-style books they will enjoy this one, particularly if they are trying to read. It's a great beginner book for young kids.
