The Sacred Year (Review)
This review is for the book "The Sacred Year" by Michael Yankoski. Yankoski is a Christian motivational speaker who felt the pull to stop talking about living a life of faith and becoming very intentional with his spiritual walk. He found mentors to help him along this path and learned from their wisdom. The book is split into three sections: finding depth with God, finding depth within yourself and finding depth with others. Each of these sections is incredibly important and yet very easily overlooked today in our modern society. Society as a whole is often in such a hurry we forget to take the time to meditate on God's word, or sit and listen to someone else talk about their problems, or simply take a walk to enjoy the outdoors.
I enjoyed reading about Yankoski's journey. A lot of the practices made me shake my head and try to think of ways to implement them into my own life.
Thank you to Litfuse Publicity and W Publishing Group for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
