This review is for the book "Becoming Bea" by Leslie Gould. I had never read any of Gould's books before, but I typically enjoy Amish romance novels. It turns out this is the fourth book in the "The Courships of Lancaster County" series. Fortunately, the story stood alone very well and I did not feel confused by jumping in in the middle of the series.
In this story, Beatrice and Ben have always had a love-hate relationship. They both throw signals to the other that are confusing, so they both are dealing with a lack of trust. In this story they do develop feelings toward each other and they have to work through all their issues to build a firm relationship.
I enjoyed this book and the writing style of Gould. I would like to read her other works.
Thank you to Litfuse Publicity and Bethany House for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
