The Brickmaker's Bride (Review)
This review is for the book "The Brickmaker's Bride" by Judith Miller. The story begins with Laura and her mother returning to the brick factory her father built up. Now that he has passed away, they need to sell the business. Unfortunately, the people they sell to are slightly crooked - well, one of them is, and the other has some sense.
The story is primarily about Laura and Ewan falling in love, but other stories are mixed in together. I felt this story was a bit slow-going and took me a while to get through. It is a historical novel set in the 1800s. I will say by the end I was starting to enjoy it more.
Thank you to Litfuse Publicity and Bethany House for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
