This review is for the book "Before Amen" by Max Lucado. I love Max Lucado as a writer and I have enjoyed hearing him speak in person before as well. Lucado is the type of author who will speak straight to the reader. He is honest about his struggles and victories. He is humorous. His works are easy to read because it is like having a conversation with a friend.
This book is about the power of prayer. How often do we struggle with prayer, or even forget to use this powerful tool? In this book the author demonstrates how we should pray (as to a friend; our father; someone all-powerful) and why prayer is so important.
I really enjoyed this book and am adding it to my bookshelf. I highly recommend it.
