This review is for the book "Destiny Defied" by J.A. Marx. This is a supernatural suspense novel, which is a category of fiction I typically enjoy. Unfortunately I just could not get into this book. For some reason I felt confused from the beginning of the story. I kept getting the characters mixed up, so it was difficult for me to follow the storyline.
I do feel that the book touched on some good topics such as struggling with faith, struggling with temptation, pride, feeling disconnected from God, and showing Christian love in action. It just wasn't enough to keep me enthralled in the story consistently.
