Playing the Part (Review)

This review is for the book "Playing the Part" by Jen Turano. In this book, Lucetta Plum is an actress in New York City, but she is very well liked by a fan - so well liked that she needs to go on the run from him. Lucetta's friend Abigail convinces her to go to her grandson's estate to hide out. It just so happens that the grandson is really handsome and a bachelor - but he is also living in a huge castle, has odd people as servants, and seems to be extremely eccentric. Also, Abigail failed to mention that she doesn't really know her grandson and she is really on the outs with his mother! There is a lot of chaos in the family, but at least they are willing to protect Lucetta.

I enjoyed this story. The characters are fun and I have never read a book quite like this before, so I liked that about it too, that it is unique. If you like fun, historical romances with a bit of suspense you will definitely enjoy this story. I look forward to reading more by Turano in the future.

Thank you to Litfuse Publicity for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
