Kindergarten - Day 30

Day 30 - Monday

Bible verse this week: 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Poetry: "Applesauce", "Timothy Toppin", and "Simple Simon"

 Language Arts:

Reading: My mother-in-law passed on some awesome reading material to Brianna. The books she is reading right now are 36 in a series from the Orton-Gillingham method. Yesterday she read 8 books in a row! I was taking pictures of them (and videos) but my camera quickly ran out of memory!

 School's out - Park date!!

Later, Brianna wrote a letter to a special someone (Juju) and she brought this envelope into my bedroom. She had addressed it herself. I thought this was so precious!

And this happened while I was cooking dinner - how relaxing, to be read to as I'm preparing a meal!

This kid, who won't take off his birthday hat:

I'll have to blog about today's school tomorrow! I am really behind :-)

Kindergarten - Day 29

Day 29 - Friday

This past Friday we started our day by going to Brianna's 4H club meeting. A lady from the Natural Science Museum came and spoke on arthopods. It was very interesting! And now Hunter wants a Madagascar hissing cockroach for a pet!

A visit to the duck pond after the meeting:

And walking along the railroad tracks in Aberdeen (apparently we were procrastinating going home or something!)

 School time: Prayers and pledges:

Bible time: God sends food to the Israelites on their journey.

Missionary story: Margaret Queen of Scotland

Poetry: "Little Boy Blue", "To the Ladybird", "Gregory Griggs", "Waiters", "Yellow Butter" and "Meg's Egg"

 Language Arts:

Meanwhile: Hunter turned 4 this weekend!

Brianna took some time out of her busy schedule to read to her aunt Juju:

Eating out with our family, celebrating Hunter's birthday and Papa's! (Which occurred recently)

And Hunter filled up his rewards chart on his birthday weekend! He chose Di'lishi for his reward.

I'll have to blog about today's school tomorrow! I'm sleepy :-)
