This review is for the books "Why Christmas" and "Why Easter" by Barbara Reaoch. I really enjoyed these devotionals. The Christmas one is set to be read twenty-four days before Christmas, and the Easter one can be started four weeks before Easter. The books are very similar in the setup. One day consists of a scripture which is read, a discussion that follows as well as discussion questions, a scripture to memorize, a song to sing together, and vocabulary words to learn.
I loved the layout of these devotions. They are simple, yet they contain great wisdom for children. I like the interactive portions, like the singing and discussion questions. The colorful illustrations are also a big part of these devotions. I look forward to using these over and over again with my children!
