Finding God in the Ruins (Review)

This review is for the book "Finding God in the Ruins" by Matt Bays. It really isn't often that an author says so many things that the typical person is thinking. Not every author or pastor will tell you that God allows for evil and injustice. Or that it's okay not to be okay with that. Or that it's okay for you to tell God that you're upset with him. I mean, God knows what you are feeling - why not just be honest with him? Matt's story is a story of tragedy and his journey of rebuilding that is still happening to this day. I love his honesty and how he has found God in his story. I absolutely love his writing style. It isn't often that I read a nonfiction book over the course of one to two days, but I couldn't put this one down. I highly recommend this book.

Thank you to Litfuse Publicity for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

I thank you for your honesty. I would rather read a book like this that makes me really think and be real with myself than a book that sugercoats life or gives cliches. So thank you!

You are welcome. And I agree. I've read all those...and so many just didn't work for me. :-) God IS good, and hard to take...and yet so wonderful. It's seems that's the deal. If you come across those whose faith is hanging by a thread, I'd appreciate you sending them my way via the book or my website www.mattbayswriter.com

Peace and love,

Matt
