Now We Can Have a Wedding (Review)

This review is for the book "Now We Can Have a Wedding!" by Judy Cox. If there is a book about weddings, you can bet my 5-year old daughter will grab it. This book was very cool. In the story, a little girl's sister is getting married to a guy who lives in their apartment complex. The entire complex is coming together to cook for the wedding. It just so happens to be a very diverse apartment complex! So the little girl travels from apartment to apartment helping cook for the big day. It is really cool because she learns how to make challah (a Jewish/Yiddish tradition), tamales, tai shio-yaki (a Japanese dish), and many other things. The whole complex comes together for the wedding day. It is a great book for introducing different cultures and types of foods. I would like to get this book again in the future and try to make some of the recipes (recipes not included in the book).
