This review is for the book "21 Things the Devil Cannot Do" by Duane Vander Klok. I really enjoyed this book. The author stated from the very beginning that so often we give the devil too much credit. We give him too much power. Really, though, his power is quite limited. I think it is so necessary to point out all the things the devil cannot do so we can claim back some of that authority. For example, the devil cannot operate in an atmosphere of praise, so if we keep that atmosphere around us, he cannot break through or have power. The devil cannot trespass where you don't allow him. The devil cannot hold power to things you don't yield to him. The author made so many good points throughout this book that I really agreed with. He also pointed out how Jesus can deliver us from so many things, and had the plan of salvation at the end of the book.
I think this is a great read. If you struggle with the idea of the devil being on your back, or saying "the devil made me do it" or giving him too much power, you should read this book.
