Logo Party

Today's game is another of our family's favorite games. It's called Logo Party. This is the type of game that you might think you won't be good at if you don't watch a lot of television or read a lot of magazines, but it's amazing what logos are seared into your brain!

The Point:
Be the first person to make it to the Logo Party Space (the end of the board) and successfully answer a Reveal It! card.

Gameplay:
Divide players into two teams. Put the game board in the center of the table. Choose your playing pieces and put them on the Start. Shuffle all the action cards (Do It!, Draw It! and Describe It!) and either make a pile or put them in their box. Shuffle the Reveal It! cards and make sure they are separate from the action cards.

Begin your turn by moving your piece forward one space. Draw an action card and announce the card category (either Draw It!, Do It! or Describe It!). Find the brand on the card that matches the color of the space your playing piece is on. You have to get your team to guess this brand. Use the Logo Party timer or set a timer for 30-45 seconds.

If you draw a "Draw It!" card, get out your pencil and paper! You can draw anything you want - except for letters, words or numbers!

If you draw a "Do It!" card, you have to act out clues about the brand. No singing or talking!

If you draw a "Describe It!" card, you have to describe the brands to your team, one by one. You can't say the brand name, any part of the brand name, or "it sounds like..." or "it rhymes with..." Your team has to get both brands correct to win the card.

If your team guesses the brand(s) correctly before time runs out, move your playing piece forward one space, draw a new card, reset the timer, and keep playing!

If you land on a Reveal It! space, draw one of those cards. Insert it into the Logo Timer. Neither team should see the answer, because everyone is playing this round! Both teams play at the same time, and the first to shout out the correct brand wins the card.

If your team is the first to figure out the brand, move your team's piece forward one space and draw a new card.

If neither team figures it out, the game continues with the other team continuing play.

If you both shout out the answer at the same time, draw a new Reveal It! card and try again.

How to Win:

Once a team reaches the Logo Party Space, they must draw a new Reveal It! card and successfully figure it out to win. The catch is that the other team can still play and answer first to steal the turn!

If the team on the space is the first to guess, the win the game. If the other team guesses first, they move their playing piece and continue their turn. The other team will have to wait until their next turn to try again!

Verdict:
We definitely like this game. It's pretty short and fast-paced. I like to play it with my kids, but we do have to rummage through the cards sometimes to find brands they know. They probably don't know any on one out of every 3 cards we draw. Still a lot of fun!

Great for Learning:
Quick thinking, creative thinking, brainstorming, art, acting!
