Echoes of Mercy Review
I have read a few of Kim Vogel Sawyer's books in the past, so I was confident I'd enjoy her book "Echoes of Mercy". I am not always a fan of historical romance but I enjoyed the story in this book.
Caroline is an undercover investigator, working to free children from child labor in factories, and looking into a suspicious death at a candy factory. As she works she forms a friendship and a bond with another worker, Ollie. But the more time they spend together, the more she begins to think Ollie is at the factory for the same reason she is. Some twists and turns with local children bring them closer but also make them more suspicious of one another. In the end, the truth is found out and there is a happy ending.
I liked this story and I liked the characters more than many other books in this genre. I enjoy Sawyer and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
Thank you to Waterbrook Press for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
