Prophet on the Run Review
I am one of those people who really enjoy devotionals on specific books of the Bible. So I was really looking forward to reading "Prophet on the Run" by Baruch Maoz. This is a devotional commentary on the book of Jonah. I think the book of Jonah is a great story, but I do feel like it is one of those stories that is easy to feel like you know everything about it because you have heard it so many times.
Maoz goes through each section of the book of Jonah, from his escape to his taking responsibility for his actions to his repentance and obedience. There is so much to learn from this story of Jonah. Maoz brought up so many good points throughout this book that will really help open your eyes to the beauty of this well-known story. Each chapter also has questions for discussion so it would be easy to use this in a small group study or if you want to journal on your own.
Overall, a great read. Very easy to comprehend and interesting. I would like to read more by this author in the future.
Thank you to Cross Focused Reviews and Shepherd Press for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
