Random Stuff

Brianna and Hunter have been sick for a week now, so that doesn't leave much time for blogging. Our Georgia family came up Thursday through Sunday but unfortunately they spent most of their time soothing cranky kids! I'm having to take Hunter to the doctor today but hopefully Bri's is almost through running its course. Sadly, I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose and sore throat, so it seems I didn't miss getting these germs. The good news is, a cold doesn't usually keep me down, I don't normally even have to take medicine for it, so I can deal with a stuffy nose for a few days with no problem.

Today became the day that I couldn't handle looking at the Pack N Play in our living room anymore. Before:

We've had that in our living room since Brianna was born. It was a perfect catch-all for diapers (and all the things that go with diaper changing), shoes, etc. But I hated the look of it. Now, both kids still fit in it for diaper changes but most of the time they're on the floor, bed, couch, or counter just as frequently for diaper changes. Did I say counter? I didn't mean that. So it seemed to be that I should be able to condense all the items in here, keep them in the kids closet down here, and get the P 'N' P outta here!!

Doesn't that just make you feel all warm and cozy inside?

This girl is a child after her father's own heart... both of them sing Christmas carols year-round. In this video she's singing Frosty the Snowman but gets distracted and starts putting things on the couch. You can hear her say "Bumbo" as she moves it and "Bri move it!". I cut the video short because I thought she was going to cry when she fell (I know, I'm a chicken and don't want to catch that stuff on video) but she never did get upset, just startled.
