The Daughter of Highland Hall (Review)

This review is for the book "The Daughter of Highland Hall" by Carrie Turansky. This is the second book in her Edwardian Brides series. I did not read the first book in the series and I am happy to say that it did not affect my understanding of this book at all. I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline in this book. It was so fascinating. The book is set in England, in the early 1900's. The lifestyle of the rich society is so foreign to me. It was intriguing.

The story follows Kate, who is on a search for a husband, and Jon, who is out to realize God's calling on his life. They become fast friends, and it doesn't take long for them to develop feelings. Unfortunately, society's rules dictate that they should not entertain the thought of a life together.

I'd like to read the other books in this series. I've never read anything by this author and I really enjoyed this book. If you like Christian historical romance fiction (that's a mouthful!) I'm sure you'll enjoy this book.

Thank you to Litfuse Publicity and Waterbrook Multnomah for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
